When I first heard about stainless steel yarn (or, more accurately, thread), I was intrigued. What would a stainless steel hat or scarf look like? What did it feel like? Could the finished piece be penetrated by a spear or rapier? Was it heavy?
And then walked back. I wanted to memorize her techniques and patterns, a frustrating and fruitless effort at my age. The fact that it was so expensive made me want the book even more.
Sometimes resorting to Plan B is so much more rewarding, as I found out with this crocheted hat.
